Crashing Palm

Posted by Admun  Tags: cellphone, palm

This happens almost daily..... it seem like multiple events occur at the same time confuse PalmOS 3 and the event handler failed to return to previous function. I've seem cases that email download crashed after I closed the lid when net access is happending, or ICQ and snipper trying to work at the same time.

Maybe it just bad application, but should OS save the system from a deadlock like this?

Admun K3Bed

Posted by Admun  Tags: linux
Nero CD creation tool released a Linux version recently, I read a review of it compares to K3B. I saw this tool before but never play much attension to it since I ws using XRoastCD. However, XRoastCD does not work with the DVD burner I got from my dad.

After reading the review, I thought maybe I should give it a try. So, here I wrote here to report that it works! As I write this, the DVD is burning.

It's cool finally I can get it to work, maybe I can start using the DVD to backup my data as well.

Upgrade Junky Confession

Posted by Admun  Tags: linux, fedora
I've been using Fedora Core Linux since it comes out.... just have to confess that I'm a upgradeolic.

- I like to upgrade my laptop 2-3 times a years with a new version that bring new and cool functions/software to my Linux box, no matter I need it or not.
- I like the idea of using the latest and greatest, even bleeding-edge stuff, as long as it works relatively well (as least beta quiality) As long as it's progressing and evoloing, I'm happy and feel good.
- I like to run apt once a week manually and see new version of rpm available for install. I got a kick out of it to able to stay latest.

I'm one sick puppy... as Clint like to say. cool
