Yes, I know it's late.

The Feb PHP meetup topic is on SEO. David Gomel from CBS Interactive gave a very informative introduction.

Some highlights how to do better SEO on your site:
- Contents should not embedded in Flash/Ajax/Javascript/Image
- Pay attention to title tag and header tag (i.e. H1), Meta tags, and static URL

A few ways to keep an eyes on your site's SEO:
- Google image, blog search
- Look at the site without CSS
- Google Webmaster tool

There are a couples way I use to gauge my site:
- Google web/image/blog search using a few keywords like my name and common username I used everywhere
- Webalizer installed on my web server
- Google Webmaster tool

I've Google alert to monitor for some keywords, and it turns out there are many people have the same name, one also located in the Bay area. The username I use yield a better search result, but there is someone and some organization called "admun".....

One the other hand, I noticed many duplicate links in Google webmaster tool, which I have not able to determine. I guess I will dig into it more.....

p.s. Technorati sucks! It never index my blog properly, and I know it's not my blog's problem!
