I and Jalynn (yet another tester from work) get together around 11:00am and start driving to Cape Cod, a hook-shape peninsula south of Boston. It's loaded with ton of beaches, and a popular destination for weekenders.
We decided to go all the way to the tip of the cape, a town called Provincetown. The drive is about 3 hours, with many cars on the road, a lot of slow traffic, and my poor driving. On the way to our destination, we drove passed single-lane highway with sands on the roadside. That's reminds me of Florida Keys. There are also many sand dunes in the area. A nice scene with the blue sky as the backdrop.
We arrived and found parking, and go for lunch at Commons guesthouse and bistro bar, which Jalynn packed with the recommandation of Frammer's the guidebook. It is excellent food.
The town is mainly a beach area with a street that run near by it. A very touristly done. There is a wharf with ferry to Boston. A pier with many small fishing boats, they are kind of remind me of those in south of France or Italy.
There are many stores in town, like arts gallery, clothings, museums, and alike. We stumbled across one Hamalyia craft that sale clothing and stuff made by Napels, an increasing store. We also found a candy store and bought some Taffy. There is also a pilgram momument, a tall tower-like momument.
Provincetown is known to be gay and lesbian friendly, and indeed. A lot of them are on the street, some even threesomes.
We stopped for some cookies and drinks, then go beach hopping as sunset is approaching. We hit a few small public beaches (not all are public) and take some pictures. As sunset is happening, we found the perfect beach - Rock Harbor.
We head back home as night arrived and nothing left to see, until next time.
