Watching a news magazine program on Fairchild TV the other night, it's about Portland street. Even through I used to live around the neighorhood, but never realized it's so red, as in "red light" district.

There are so many hookers and incalls there that people hang around just to see them coming and going. I only think of "群鶯亂舞" to describe it.

In the program, it mentioned Portland used to be full of leather and coffin shops, that bring back memory; I took school bus home everyday when I was in primary school. The bus enroute the whole stratch of Portland from YMT to Prince Edward. I still remember when the bus turn into Portland, there are many shops selling raw leather and coffins. Once the bus approaching Mongkok, you start to see all those light box sighs of night clubs and such. It's not officially a red light district, but it's THE place for most people.

I don't know since when Portland turns into the current scenic with all the hookers picking up on the street. It's like I heard about it but never seem to notice it since I rarely go to that area for one reason or other. Of course, I left Hong Kong back in 90' and this hookers scene just a thing of the past few years.

Now, a new mega hotal/shopping/business place opens, once again this neighorhood going to change forever, less and less like I used to rember how it used to be.
