So, many are writing about 10 places in their city. So, here's my.

Camp Fortune: I start teaching snowboarding at this local skihill just this winter. Technically it's not a place in my city since it's over at Quebec. But it's so close to Ottawa.... I used to take snowboarding lessions there, and currently goes up 4 times a week to teach, ride and train. I go there in search of that smooth, perfect ride to come down the hill in style. Many think it is too small to have fun, but I disagree; It's that feeling of be one with the hill that count.

My work place @ Caring Ave: My company has a nice campus with 9 buildings here at Carling Ave/Moodie Dr (I'm actually at Lab 9 2N). It's close to the Ottawa river but we do not have a view to it. There is a nice wetland right next to us. People actually go there for a walk during lunchtime. There are a few ponds, softball diamonds, and soccer field in campus. Many gooses actually nests on our campus during Spring/Summer until they fly south for the winter.

Bubblicity: A bubble tea place at Chinatown I go often. It's the first store of its kind in Ottawa. Nice music, decoration, and relax atmosphere. Good for chill with friends. It serves by young and pretty waitresses. cool

Bayshore Shopping Centre: One of the big malls in the city, it has all the usally stores there to satisfy most of my shooping needs. It has GAP, Club Monaco, MEXX, now even Banana Republic. What else I can ask for from a mall? I enjoy a walk (in slow pace) there from time to time. It packs with people during Christmas time.

Rideau Canel: Everyone lives in Ottawa must at least be there once. It's a canel for boats in the summer time, and becomes the world's longest skating rink in the winter. I tooks around 2 hours to do a return trip from one end to the other and back. We can stop for Beaver's tail (a pastry) and hot chocolates when getting tired.

Ottawa River: I never go on the river for any water sports, but there are bike paths on both sides (Quebec and Ontario) of the river. I often go rollarblading with friends in the summer. A good activity after work in the summer before go for supper.

Moodie's Bay: It's the place the annual dragonboat race holds in Ottawa. I was on one of the teams from work (called Radiowave) for the past 5 years.

NAG: The National Art Gallery is a nice architecture in the capital. The first time I was there to see many master pieces from the Impressionists like Renoir and etc. It's enlightening.

Bell's Corner: A small community close to work. I drove by often after work (usually I can take highway to go home directly) to get grocery and such before heading home. Many friends also live there as well.

Kanata: A suburb of Ottawa, where I play badminton.

Maybe I should write about other cities I lived in before: Claresholm, Vancouver, Calgary, Medicine Hat, Hong Kong cool
