On a nice Saturaday morning, the groomer runs through the slope and left the trail for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy the snow.

I have been chasing after this so called perfect ride. I don't know what that really mean at the beginning. But after this season, I have a better idea.

I am really a ride (kind of) guy, I don't like to do tricks and jumps too much and certainly do not have enough guts for it. On the other hand, I don't like speed too much, until I can ride that speed with ease. I need to be in full control, I'm a control freak.

What I enjoy is coming down the hill smoothly, that "feel good" ride; No sliding, no breakneck speed, no counter rotation, edge working to the maximum; turn swiftly and effectively; Hands touching snow over the turn; Just flow around the hill. And it got to looks good and in style. I got to be confident. I can be either lay back or aggressive.

I also like consistency; no matter it is green, blue or black run, no matter it is sliding turn or craving turn; no matter I do big wide turn or going short radius/rail to rail; no matter I'm on powder, packed, or ice.

I still far from that perfect ride.

It's a total silent. Sun beaming down on me. No one on the hill. No wind. I'm flowing in the air.

I haven't master this yet, but it tastes alright.....

Ingredents:
- Huge chunk of beef
- Potato
- Onion
- Carrot

Procedure:
- Rub salt on the beef surface, wait for a while. Cut up the beef if it's too bad, which allow it to cook more easily
- Cut up potato, onion, carrot
- Oil the pot's inner
- Put beef in the pot, along with potato/onion/carrot and a little bit water
- Pre-heat oven to 350, put in the pot with lid closed
- Broil for 1.5 hours, or until ready.

It has been almost a month since the tragic incident in that Alberta community. As the investigation continues, more questions arise, but no answer.

The answer was too late for those who lost their love one.

For good Friday, a bunch of us went to Ste. Marie for a day trip. It is my first time this season there, also the last one since the season is ending....

The snow was really hard packed with some ice patches, and the line up was long. The good thing about this hill is the longer and more challenging trails (a lot of black runs). But with the poor condition, I was not enjoying the best of it.

Once again, I found how much improvement I made from 4 days a week up Camp Fortune. My speed definitly increased compared to last year, even I still slip a lot. However, I still need to improve on icy condition. My carving still not effective enough on black run when it is hard parked.

Yet another dish I made. It's nothing too tasty, in fact. wink

Ingredients:
- pork, cut in pieces
- miso, I use one from Japan. But I guess any type would work.

Procedures:
- mix miso with pork
- heat up a pot with oil
- put in pork
- cook until done

It's a month since this and this. Time for another review. Overall, I feel more confident and in control. Adapted to more bumpy (but not too icy) terrain. Speed has increased and hopefully in style/form and looking good. cool

- ride switch over green and hopefully blue terrain (still need more work on green)
- sliding turns definitely improved further after I changed to a wider stance that help biting on ice.
- Toe turn improved as well after I bend knee more by lean out the knee and keep back straight
- Ezio pointed out my over/uncomfortable extended hands riding form, so I switch to more gun-drawing hands, which help my heel side turn.
- motor boat back hand hand fix the counter rotation on toe turn.
- short radius turn on blue and black terrain definitely improved. I'm also able to use speiss-like turn (steered by back hand) on double black
- able to comfortably come down black diamond run
- improve short radius turn on blue terrain
- improve carving on blue terrain

To work on:
- more switch
- down un-weight turn
- more carving
- half cap
- small jump (maybe a table)
