Finally back to Ottawa after spending 3 weeks in San Francisco before new year and another 3 weeks in Hong Kong.

2007 going to be a year of change for me.

There are so many "quizzes" on the internet, but this one is special.



Internet has became recuriting platform for any organization. Some of them are your usual one, but others not, like the US Army. They have games, Ads on the RSS feeds. It comes to no surprise that CIA also turn to the net for new talents.

After all, maybe I can be a spook.

Just saw a interesting referer URL from WorldLingo, a language translation services. Upon looking at it I found that it's a real-time Chinese translation of my blog. Someone must be trying to translate my blog.

Damn, I want one of this. 4 doors with DSG, silver or black. The price tag is ~32k + tax.

I saw one at work's parking lot, it looks great. I actually can't believed my eyes at first since I thought only 2 doors model are available in North America..... ok, hopefully they are still offering it next year by the time my Protege 5 lease is up....

Just saw from the doc about his 網摘, indeed it's very convincent. It collects new posts from all the RSS feeds you like and present it in a single page. One can read all the posts at the same time, no more browsing all the sites daily!

This is the power of RSS, which provide the "streams of data" to all to use. The idea of aggrgration is very common these days, some coins it "mashups" when sources of information are blended into one for comsumption.

The function itself appears everywhere under different name. The truth is they get the same job done; RSS readers/aggregators (ie GoogleReader, Gregarius, and etc), Planets, Firefox extension, and the list goes on and on. It can be local on your computers, or as a web application you can subscribe to from the Internet. But it makes a more quality time for surfing all the information.... until there's too much information and drawn me.

Saw at Techeblog that someone has designed a shoot around the corner device. The first thought I had is: Gee, I thought they already have it in Ghost in the shell... what's new?

I still rememeber when CD first came out in the 1980's. They claim to provide a lifetime of music enjoyment, with the proper care of the media, of course.

But the other day my friend pointed out it's not the case. So, I did a quick search and saw this....

Ok, maybe I should ripped all of my CDs to mp3 now as a backup. So, I can listen on my Ming PDA as well.

People have been having fun exploring what they can find from source code of many open source project.

I did a quick try with my name, it's cool to see my name pops up from the search as well.



Well, it's all in the open now, so the "peer review" get easier. We need to be even more careful when writing code..... not hat we aren't.
